just wondering cause im trying to save a little money and get 1 15 . im building a ported box to spec on it. will the 2 12s sound just a little louder or will i notice a huge differance between the 2 12s or 1 15. im not putting it in for compitition or anything but want to get the best boom for the cheapest price.

The 15 won't be as loud compared to the 2 12's. Just save up and go for the 12's. It will be worth it. the 15 will do allright though if you decide just to stick with that but you might regret it.

The difference will not be huge, it'll be small. It's up to to if you think it's worth it to pay extra for something only slightly-to-barely noticeable by ear.

I would just get 2 12's if you want it to sound more musical and if you look at cone area 24 id more then 15, if price is the issue the 15 will be fine it will be just a few db's difference if even but make sure to get the right amp for the job.
it is about designing a sub bass system.
