What would be the best amp for 2 12 inch Kicker cvx subwoofers?

Im going to buy 2 12 inch kicker cvx subs and i was wondering what to buy 2 or 4 ohm? And what amp would be the best? They are rated at 750rms each.

  1. I got 2 kicker comps rated at about 1000 each, And I’m running a 2400watt alpine amp. It knocks hard! Whatever you got get a little over, that way you wont have over-heating problems, will get full sound quality out of them, etc! Therefore with 750 each, I’d got with anywhere from a 1400-2000 watt amp pref (kicker, alpine, etc)

  3. if you can afford it and you want a matching system i suggest buying 2 dual 2ohm cvx’s and a zx1500.1.
if you buy dual 2ohm subs you can wire them in series which will make a 2ohm load which is perfect for the zx1500.1. or if you want to go a little cheaper you can even use the zx1000.1.they usually put out about 1200 watts rms.
i myself had this setup with the zx1000.1 and it pounded
you can get a new zx1500.1 on ebay for less than $400
you can also get a pair of 12″ cvx’s for about $360

  5. that will depend on what you want your final impedance to be
the lower the final impedance at the amp the lower the sound quality but the easier/cheaper it is to power

this will show you what your final impedance’s will be depending on your wiring http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp

personally i would go with the 2ohm versions wired with the voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=22 for a 2ohm load at the amp
