Kicker Subwoofers

What amp can i use for my kicker subwoofers?

I have 2 12″ kicker cvx 2 ohm subs. they are 750 watts rms a peice. Kicker recomends the zx1500.1 mono amp, this sounds great but it goes for like $500. does anyone know a cheaper amp that would work just the same as the recomended kicker amp?

   you need 1500 watts at 2ohm well the hifonics Brutus amp 2000w puts out 1300 watts at 2ohm and would be fine it will still hit hard and you wont blow your sub unless you turn the gain up too much. its about 300$

   Hifonics is good yes but look into MB Quart… (MB Quart is actually just a cheaper version of Rockford Fosgate) Phoenix Gold is very good too for the price. If you wanna go a little cheaper then I’d go with Boss. I’ve never had any problems with them and they are very affordable.

   dont buy amps from ebay they can refurbished…
   and yea hifonics is good Mb quart.. just really depends what u want..if u want more bang go with hifonics which gives that boom.. ur choice good luck:)

   i would get the kicker zx1500.1 very good amplifier.you want to use all the watts you have. hifonics is good to. but don’t spend a lot of money on a amplifier and can’t use all the watts…. get the kicker………good luck

   I don’t understand why you can’t buy the ZX1500.1 mono amp for $500 but you got the CVX which retails at $400 each.Sorry but those CVX’s are great quality subs and putting some cheap amp that’s doesn’t push at least 1300-1500rms is not going to cut it.If you don’t have enough money for a amp that is CEA-Complaint that gives you true wattage, please save alittle more money and get a amp that you will be satisfied with that will last.    other than a rockford fosgate or a jl audio amp but good quality isnt cheap and cheap sound isnt good listen to cap save up some money buy something good and you wont regret it !!
