In the proper enclosure yes it will be fine ,it sounds like you are talking about the comp vr's ,if you are,they need to be in a ported enclosure to really excel. Audio enhancers makes a specific enclosure for the comp vr's the kpvr12d and is what I recommend,you can visit them at www.audioenhancers.com

they will make a decent system make sure you get a nice amp to run them though try to get at least a 600 rms amp so your not underpowering them to much
