  1. @blastDERVbeat The 2010 Kicker Comp has mixed up a few things as showcased in the video. A redesigned front gasket gives a better visual appeal, along with a a new basket design to allow for shallower mounting applications. The new Kicker Comp is very comparable to the last model, but with a lot of added convenience and style,

  7. @MrATLtoMS You should be fine. If what I’m seeing is correct, the Hitron amplifier has two 25 amp fuses (they could be 20) but, that means you’re going to be trly pushing around 400-500 watts of RMS power at 2 ohms. No need to worry about blowing those comps, you’re most likely underpowering them. Still, be careful while tuning the gain on the amplifier because this can introduce distortion.

  9. @SonicElectronixTV Ok, i just recieved my amp i mention with the 2000 watts max and the specific name is a Hitron Hpa2000.1D Pro series class D Monoblock Subwoofer Amplifier (Order from SonicElectronix). I took it to a guy a few minutes ago and he said it wont be a problem. He explain but i was kinda lost cause im new with this type of things but i do remember him saying something bout the fuse. I really dont wanna blow the speakers or purchase another amp right now. Any suggestions?

  11. @MrATLtoMS You’ll definitely blow the speakers. If you play with low settings on your amplifier it will still push too much than what the coils are rated for. They will overheat and your subwoofer will be nothing more than a paper weight within a very short time.

Your best bet is to switch out the subwoofers. If you want to take advantage of the large amplifier you currently have go with something like the Kicker Comp VR’s.

  13. @SonicElectronixTV Would that blow the speakers or can i play da amp low?

  15. @MrATLtoMS That’s going to be too much power for these Kicker Comp subwoofers. It’s a great amplifier for the Dual 2 Ohm models of the CompVR’s though. If you want to use the two 15″ Comp’s, you’ll want an amplifier that pushes 500-600 Watts RMS at 2 Ohms.

  17. I have 2 15″ comp c154. Is a 2000 watt amp pushing 750 watts rms at 4ohms and 1200 watts rms at 2ohms good for 2 of these sub woofers or is it too much?

  19. Ur not supposed to have them in a bandpass box…Ur not supposed to hook them up to an amp over 300w rms for a par…Although, I put them in my gf’s car in a bandpass box, with a 400w amp…And I have been in the car audio business for a few years now, and it’s the best sounding set up with comps that I’ve seen, and it hasn’t blown, or had problems yet…This guy LIES!!!…(not the guy that works for Sonic…)

  23. @michae1sherman Im taking out all stock speakers, a new deck, and subs and an amp. Im doing it right, all at once.

  24. liming5 on March 24th, 2011
  25. @liming5 are u puttin all 1300 into the subs and amp? or do u gotta get a deck too and what about ur highs and mids?

  26. michae1sherman on March 24th, 2011
  27. @michae1sherman From what i’v seen/heard Type R’s in my opinion would be my sub of choice, but i’v recentely heard they’re a power hungry sub, so I may just have to get some 12” Kicker CVR’s. But ya, I’m on a $1300 budget.

  28. liming5 on March 24th, 2011
  29. @liming5 ya if u had the money, im pretty sure if all of us had the money we’d go buy the absolute most expensive and best, but most of us have budgets and kicker is the best budget friendly system ive come across. you find something better for same price range let me know. until then im livin loud

  31. “can i say bad ass” haha hes too cool now

  32. spazzmuffin888 on March 24th, 2011
  33. Fuck that, i’d get some Type R’s over Kicker. If I really had the money, i’d go buy some DD’s er something really high end.

  34. liming5 on March 24th, 2011
  35. @qwerty134098 Well, assuming we’re talking about a Kicker Comp… then yes, that’s actually highly probable.

  36. SkratchDJ on March 24th, 2011
  37. @SkratchDJ u might turn it up one day and it will explode

  38. qwerty134098 on March 24th, 2011
  39. @qwerty134098 I sincerely hope that’s not a serious question. You make it sound like whether or not a sub will blow is based on luck or chance. LoL

  40. SkratchDJ on March 24th, 2011
  41. @SkratchDJ i have these subs and they slam

  42. qwerty134098 on March 24th, 2011

  44. qwerty134098 on March 24th, 2011
  45. @qwerty134098 Woah, looks like someone’s partial to low-end car audio equipment. Relax there buddy, it’s ok.
