I want to know some knowledgeable opinions of these Kicker Subs…Some people tell me to believe in the square vs. circle theory–some say it doesn't much matter…sooo

Any suggestions on:

Kicker L7s (square) 750 RMS watts
Kicker CVX (circle) 750 RMS watts

Also would powering these with a Kicker Mono Amplifier KX1500.1 be the perfect match giving each sub 750 watts at 2 ohms

well i believe that the square design will you give more loudness because of the increase in cone area. they are meant to be loud as hell. the cvx's might have a little big more sound quality but will also be very loud. i like the square kickers so id choose those. yes if you were powering two of them id use that exact amp. good choice on amps. and you will need each sub to be dvc 2ohm to wire it to a 2 ohm load for the amp. thats a great setup. good luck with the system!

Well the L7's do in fact have better technology. The square design is a Kicker patent and it offers better power handling. But either way you go your getting some damn good subs! The L7's also cost a little more so if you want to save some money, go with the CVX's.

yes at 2ohms you would get maximum power and as for the circle or square it really depends on the box they are in i prefer a sealed box with circle subs as ported for square so if it was me i would run the kicker l7"s at 2ohms' in a ported box

Basslovin took the words out of my mouth, you get more surface area with the square subs so you will get a little more surface area which will give you a little more bass
