I just bought Kicker – 12" Dual 2-Ohm Subwoofers with Enclosure and it says its 600 watts max peak and 300 rms. Is this a good sub? I want a sub thats loud and can be heard if im driving down the road or something..

Also do i need a 1000 watt amp or what would be best for it?

And is the 300 rms for each subwoofer or both of them together like if the spec is including them as one… I wasnt sure if each speaker pushed 600 watts alone and 600 on the other.

The comp's are kicker's lowest level sub, but they're a good place to start.

I'm pretty sure the dc122 box is pre-wired for 2 ohms so you would want a mono amp that's 300-400w rms at 2 ohms.

The rms is what each sub can handle. do not ever go by peak power. But the kicker comps are great beginner subs get a amp that is at least 600 rms and it will sound great man. This amp would go perfect with them i had one just like it before i got my 2400 watt fosgate
