but im looking to buy 2 10" kickers to go in my truck. this might seem like a dumb question but like i said i dont know a whole lot about this stuff.
alright should i get 2 10" kicker cvrs or 2 10" comp and witch would be louder/sound better with a kicker 400w 2 channel amp? will it sound better/louder to push the comps to the limit or to underpower the cvrs a little bit?

first of all there are sites where u can get 2 12 inch compvrs which are wayyy better than the 10s, and the package comes with the wiring and amp for a REALLL good price….u might be saving 500 bucks buying from wholesale…..here's the site….also the compvrs come with its own vented box that makes real nice low bass, so u save money on getting a new box

just make sure u get it professionally installed including upgrading the big 3….the battery, alternator, and the wiring…all of that including the purchase of the sub/amp package should be around 600 bucks…i would also recommend this head unit, and these component speakers for a complete system

all together close to $1000 which ur actually saving more than twice if u were to purchase from circuit city or best buy….good luck!!!!

O.K. Being a owner of Kickers subs I'm going to answer your question a best as possible.First the CVR's whether it's the 10's or 12's are louder than the Comp's.1 CVR sub 400 rms, 2 CVR's subs 800 rms.And as for the Comp.1 Comp sub 150 rms, 2 Comp subs 300 rms. All ways go by the RMS watts rating instead of PEAK watts and ALWAYS match the rms of the subs to the amp. Example 2 Kicker 300 rms subs match with a 600 rms amp.I would really suggest a quality mono amp to push the CVR or the Comps.
