You can get 1 amp with 4 channels on it. If speakers are rated 500 watts each, then get a 2000 watt amp.

Or 2 1000 watt amps with 2 channels.

Or 4 500 watt amps with 1 channel.

Or bridged etc, etc.

There are many ways to do it, but the first one will be the simplest way to do it.

It depends how much watts your putting out lets say your 4 subs are 1000 each and you have one 2000 amp if its bridgable you can bridge all four speakers on that one amp im pretty sure not entirely sure on bridging though but common sense is 4 subs 1000 ea. your gunna want 2 two channelamps 2000 ea. or 1 multi channel amp at 4 Gs. and your gunna want a good brand bottom dolla is JL a good affordable one is sony explode kicker MTX you kno

no you don't need 2 amps.

you can use a mono amp that runs at 1 ohm

or a 2 channel amp.

either option will work out just fine, but a 2 channel amp may be a bit easier to find at a good price than a mono amp thats 1 ohm stable.

as for brands, thats all up to you. just avoid the terrible ones like volfenhag, or boss, or pyle, etc.
