Question: How do i get the subwoofers to play in harmony with the music?

Here are some answers about your question: How do i get the subwoofers to play in harmony with the music?.

Answers of your question:

i installed my new kenwood 9105d amp and 2 kicker comps into my car, and for the longest time the amp has power coming to it, but when it goes to the subs, the subs just beat. They dont go with the song. Its like they arent conected to the radio or cd player. is this a wiring problem or is there just a button for it

————————

Answers of your question:

Try to mess with your gains. You might have them too high. Also, if possible, take your head unit out, and hook a wire from the ground (black) wire off the back of it, and hook it to the same place the amplifier is grounded to (chassis/frame/sheetmetal). See if it gets better. You can try a new set of rca wires. Try to clean/change the amplifier ground wire mounting location.

Question: How can I tell if subwoofers are good?

Here are some answers about your question: How can I tell if subwoofers are good?.

Answers of your question:

I'm wanting to buy these two kicker cvx subs and the reason I ask is cuz I'm getti g them pretty cheap. The guy says he has them hooked up to a home stereo but how can I tell if they are in good conditio?

————————

Answers of your question:

check the wattage, make sure there are no holes/tears, make sure the port holes are nice and clear and pump out the pressure well, and make sure that there's no rattling when they're turned up

————————

Answers of your question:

unhook the wire going to the sub woofers then re hook a wire to each point maid to hook wire to the speaker take the other end of the wire and a D batterer put one end of the wire on the + and the other on – at the same time you will hear a crack sound that tell you that the coil is still good
you must hook the wire to one Speaker at a time and on the Speaker not to the box because you may have a cross over in the box and this will not work and the voltage from the D cell batterer will not hurt any thing you can use a C size if you have one

————————

Answers of your question:

Turn them to max volume and see if you hear crackling

I am getting 2 12" Kicker-How long does it take to break in new subwoofers?

Keywords: I am getting 2 12" Kicker
Question: How long does it take to break in new subwoofers?

Here are some answers about your question: How long does it take to break in new subwoofers?.

Answers of your question:

I am getting 2 12" Kicker CVR's (CompVR's) the silver ones, and they are brand new so i have to break them in, i was told to use the pioneer 300 watt amp i have now to break them in then once teyre broken in get a bigger amp, how long will it take to break them in and once they are what size amp should i get for them?

————————

Answers of your question:

Now for the REAL answer.

It takes exactly 0 seconds to break in subs. There is no need to break in subs, they are ready out of the box.

It's one of those myths that never seem to die. Here's why:

The cone moves freely (vertically), the coils are wound to a tube and attached to the cone, the surround is plenty flexible, the frame and spider mesh will flex no matter what. There is nothing else about the speaker that requires to be broken in.

Reason #2, NO reputable speaker manufacturer lists anywhere the need to break in subs in the manuals.

I will say the T/S parameters do change over time (slightly) due to use, so re-tuning some settings may be required.

Answers of your question:

There are many different recommendations out there. The best one I can remember, but can't find right now, is to connect the subs to your home system and break them in before installing them in the enclosure. That is if you have a powerful enough home stereo. I can't remember exact details but basically you connect the subs, put in a bass CD, preferably with test tones, and start around 120 Hz and work your way down to 30 Hz about an hour at a tone. 30 Hz should go for several hours. Keep an eye on the excursion of the sub to make sure it's about 75% of max during this process.

If you can't do this, give them at least 15 hours of break-in.

————————

Answers of your question:

If you believe in break in you belong to the dark side of audio. Break in fanatics are usually home audio guys who insist they break them in with test tones for certain amounts of time, sometimes free air. Sure they might sound a tad different but seriously… JUST PLAY THE SUBS!

And whoever said use a small amp, then a bigger one is a newb, dont listen to them.

Yeah, listen to ol' Sparky there. He knows his SH*T.

I have a 2005 Ford Escape with 2 12inch Kicker-How do I configure my system so that all bass is pushed out of the subwoofers?

Question: How do I configure my system so that all bass is pushed out of the subwoofers?

Here are some answers about your question: How do I configure my system so that all bass is pushed out of the subwoofers?.

Answers of your question:

I have a 2005 Ford Escape with 2 12inch Kicker Subs in the back and a 1000 watt amp to go along with it. My head unit is a pioneer FH-P8000BT. I've yet been able to upgrade my door speakers so they are all stock. Is there anyway I can push all the bass out of my Subs instead of both?

————————

Answers of your question:

Luckilly you have a good deck that can handle doing it! The below steps will allow you to only have a certain range go through your normal speakers and push the lows to the sub. See the below steps:

Either 80 or 100hz is what you want, all depends on what sounds best for you.

Using the high pass filter
When you do not want low sounds from the
subwoofer output frequency range to play
from the front or rear speakers, turn on the
HPF (high pass filter). Only frequencies higher
than those in the selected range are output
from the front or rear speakers.
1 Display the audio menu.
Refer to Introduction of audio adjustments on
page 44.
2 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select
HIGH PASS FILTER.
3 Press MULTI-CONTROL to turn high
pass filter on.
80HZ appears in the display. High pass filter is
now on.
# If the high pass filter has been previously adjusted,
the frequency of that previously selected
will be displayed instead of 80HZ.
# To turn high pass filter off, press
MULTI-CONTROL again.
4 Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to
select cut-off frequency.
Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right, cut-off frequencies are selected in the
following order:
50HZ—63HZ—80HZ—100HZ—125HZ
