i have 2 kicker subwoofers that are hitting 1000 RMS and 2000 peak each, but when i look at 2-channel amps the highest kicker ones are only 850 watts. does that mean 850 watts PER sub or total? another amp says its 450W x 2 and i dont understand what that means. Lastly, I think I've seen people push 2 subs with a mono amp or a 4-way amp.

i believe your best bet would be to go woth a mono amp (if the subs are 4 ohms each) like the kicker zx1500.1. That way, if your subs are rated for 1000w rms max, they would be getting 750w rms. At that wattage in their range, they should run best for a long time.

Theres a kicker 2500.1 amp that pushes 2500 rms..but the kicker 850.2 pushes 850 rms a channel i believe.
