hi i have 2 Kicker 07CVR152 – Kicker 15" 1000 Watt 2 Ohm DVC CompVR Subwoofers and i have 1 Hifonics BXi1608D – Hifonics 1600W 1-Channel Amplifier i was wondering since the 2 subs need 500 watts rms and about 1,000 peak… and this amp will give 1100-1600 watts of power i was wondering if i just tied the end of the speaker wires up and hooked both subs up in the one chanel if they would split 550 watts between both subs which would be the 1100 watts the amp gives?

so would this work or would i HAVE to buy a 2 channel amplifier? if this is possible id like to know thanks everyone for your help

it will work it's a class d amplifier which means it will equal out the ohms and the power will be equal..the only thing i'm concerned about is the dvc 2ohm subs you should have bought the dvc 4ohm subs cause when you drop the ohms on those 2ohm subs the amp will have a 0.5 ohm load on it and that amp isn't 0.5 ohm stable probably 1ohm stable you'ed have to wire them in a series instead of parallel cause it'll drop the ohms to low!!

If you series wire both subs, and then parallel them it would give you a 2 ohm load. The specs for that amp say it will put out 1100 watts total power, so each sub would get 550 watts RMS.
