Hi all i have ordered 2 kicker cvr's dual voice coil 'dvc' 400 watts rms, 800 peak, though ppl say they run around 1000 watts to them all the time with no problems at all.

basicly.

im looking for a amp for both dvc subs that is good quality. cheap.. will give more then enough power to both of them.. and comes with a remote bass control knob -where you can control the bass gain or w/e- from the car not the trunk/location of the amp.

if you could help it im looking to get a hifonics amp from www.woofersetc.com they are SUPER cheap are GREAT quality and have the remote bass.

but im unsure of which to get can someone help me out thanks ill give best answer to whoever helps tahnks

I have two cvr 12's (great speakers) sitting on my back seat in my extended cab GMC in a slot ported enclosure. I am pushing them with a Alpine m1000 mono-block amp. I've configured each speaker in series (ie; Positive amp. terminal to red with white dot speaker terminal (voice coil 1), then black with white spot speaker terminal to solid red terminal (voice coil 2), then solid black terminal to amp neg. terminal). With this amp I could run up to 1000 watts rms, 1900 peak @ 2 Ohms but have the amp at about 60% power. In this configuration they kick hard enough to make my vision blur. I have to be careful of my settings though because after I got this amp I realized that it really needs speakers more powerful to push so I don't have to worry about blowing some good speakers. I'm looking at some Alpine Type-X series, or maybe some Polk Audio SR series. Bottom line is research before buying. Research! Research! Research!!!
